Lee is a middle and long distance runner. He was born and raised in Guernsey and has the Island records in a number of events, so far he has won a total of 9 gold medals in the half marathon, 1,500m, 5,000m and 4x400m relay.

Lee has competed in the London marathon, setting a personal best each time. The first was in 2010 where he placed 12th and set a PB of 2hr 16min 48secs. In 2011 he set a PB of 2hr 14min 27, which was within the "B" qualifying time for the 2012 Summer Olympics and was the fastest British competitor in the race.

Lee wasn't originally selected for the 2012 Olympics although he finished 17th in the 2012 London Marathon, which was once again the highest placed British competitor in the race. He finished in a time of 2hr 13min 41sec, a new personal best, just outside the Olympic qualifying time set by UK Athletics at 2hr 12min.

Lee had a rather public and documented appeal from himself and also from a fan that set up a Facebook page, with over 3,000 people supporting Lee's appeal. Lees appeal was accepted and he booked his place on the GB Olympic team.

Lee is a very talented and experienced distance runner and is confident that he can still improve his times, and make a 3rd Commonwealth Team competing for Guernsey in 2014.

When he is not training or competing Lee is the spokesman for charity Male Uprising in Guernsey which aims to raise awareness of prostate, testicular and bowel cancer.
