With strong winds and rain to contend with:
Beagles England Indoor Champion Leigh Lennon set a new 800m club record
on Monday 4th May, at the prestigious British Milers Club PB Classic.
At Millfield School Somerset. After using last weeks junior league
match in Basildon as a experiment over the distance, Leigh used this
race to set a fast time. Going through the bell in 63seconds with only
the pacemaker for company. The pacemaker took her to 600m in 1:34,

the tape in a new pb of 2:07.92, taking her to 2nd in the Uk rankings.

the rest of the year. My aim is to get to the European Juniors this
year and the World Juniors in my last year as an U20 next year, funding
for training, travel and kit is really hard to find, but hope somebody
will spot what I can do and step in and support me. On the 13th June
for 12 days, I travel to Malta with my coach to continue my preparations for the European Junior Trials.
In the B 800m race, Beagles new signing 1500m specialist Kristie
Leybourne also ran a pb winning the race in 2:16.03, almost 8 seconds
faster then her two races last week.
