U17 Boys Win Essex Road Relays
Newham and Essex Beagles Young Athletes followed their senior athletes on the winning podium. The Men Under 17 A Team won the Essex County Road Relay Championships on Sunday 18th October 2009 at Colchester, in the time of 24mins 23secs. On the 1st leg was Tommy Bower who handed over in 5th place. His time was 8mins. 11secs. The 2nd leg was Yasir Sheikh who over took 2 athletes to hand over in 3rd place. His time was 8mins. 18secs. The last leg was Nakole Iddirisu who came from 3rd to 1st in a time of 7mins. 54secs.

In the B Team were Rhads Golsts in a time of 8mins 44secs, James Watts 8mins. 59secs. and David Kail 8mins. 57secs. The B Team was placed 9th in a time of 26mins 40secs.
