It is with deep regret that we note the passing away of Beagles Life Member, and legendary throws coach, George Curtis on Sunday 26th May 2013. 

George was one of the stalwarts of the Beagles coaching set up along with Dave Green, and the late Bob Mortimer through the 1980's and 1990's, and helped athletes of all levels all through his distinguished coaching career.

George will be greatly missed by all who benefited from his kind words of advice over the years.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Maureen, son Gary, and daughters Debby and Wendy, and grandchildren; Joe, Sam, Ryan, Hayley, and Craig. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: City of London Cemetery, at 14:45 on 17th June 2013.

Competing athletes should note that, included in your subscriptions is the £10 England Athletics affiliation fee for your athlete registration number.
