Interim Secretary and Interim Treasurer Urgently Required

Newham and Essex Beagles AC is currently in need of an interim Secretary and interim Treasurer to fulfil crucial administrative and financial responsibilities.

Newham & Essex Beagles is and has always been run by volunteers. The very functioning of the club relies on the goodwill and support of its members and has been proud and grateful of the time given by countless members over the years. Given the natural course of events, members of the committee have to step down at different points.

We are now looking for new committee members with passion and dedication to athletics and your club.

The responsibilities of the interim Secretary will include:

Managing club correspondence and communication.
Organizing meetings and recording minutes.
Handling administrative tasks and assisting the Membership Secretary.
Coordinating with other club officials to ensure smooth operations.

The responsibilities of the interim Treasurer will include:

Managing the club’s income and expenditure and its assets and liabilities
Maintain bank account(s) in the name of the Club in accordance with mandate ratified by the Committee
Producing an end of year financial report
Identifying a suitable individual to independently review the annual accounts
Regularly reporting back to the club committee on all financial matters
Depending on the type of legal structure reporting back to the relevant body as required.
Efficient payment of invoices and bills
Keeping up to date financial records

We understand that this is a significant commitment, but we assure you that your efforts will be greatly appreciated by the entire club community. Your contribution will help maintain the continuity of our operations during this transitional period.

Thank you for considering this request. Your support is invaluable to us, and we look forward to potentially working with you to ensure the continued success of the Newham & Essex Beagles Athletics Club.

Warm regards,

Executive Committee
Newham & Essex Beagles Athletics Club

Shout-out to music artist GHETTS for his generous donation to the club.

Here's his interview with ITV London discussing the donation of his video budget to Newham and Essex Beagles Athletics Club.

                                                     Mo Farah

Mo Farah has run his last professional race ever, and the club would like to congratulate him on a fabulous career, and wish him and his family every happiness for the next stage in their lives.

Mo is the most successful British athlete ever with four Olympic Gold medals and six World Championship golds to his name plus countless others.

Mo still holds the UK records in the following events: 1500m (3:28.31) 2013, 5000m (12:53.11) 2011, and 10,000m (26:46.57) 2011.

He joined us in 2005 and competed for the club often before the demands of being an athletics Galactico restricted his availability, helping us win National titles in Road Relays in our most successful period as a club leading up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this period he had a strong relationship with our still-missed Winter Manager, Bob Smith.

We have been so fortunate to have Mo joining our other great individual Olympic Champions, Daley Thompson and Christine Ohuruogu, as examples of dedication and an unshakeable will to win.

Thanks Mo, from all at the Beagles.
