WHO WE ARE

Founded in the heart of East London, Newham & Essex Beagles has a strong tradition of athletic excellence and community involvement. We offer structured coaching across track, road, cross-country, and field events for juniors and seniors alike.

Our club is built on community, encouragement, and a shared love of athletics. Whether you’re training for your first race, aiming for a personal best, or simply looking to stay active in a supportive environment, you’ll find a place with the Beagles.

How can I get involved in club events?

Our events cater to a range of interests and skill levels. Open meets are available to all members and you can register directly to take part. Please note, some competitions may require selection through our team managers. For these events, athletes should contact the relevant team manager to express their interest and confirm eligibility. Simply check our event calendar to see what’s coming up.

Are there opportunities for junior athletes?

Yes, our Newham and Essex Beagles Academy is dedicated to junior athletes, focusing on developing their skills within a supportive and encouraging environment. Our junior members are a valued and integral part of our club.  You can find more information regarding the Academy here.

Tim was a dedicated and respected member of the athletics community, serving as a UKA licensed coach and official timekeeper. His commitment to the sport spanned many years and reflected his deep passion for developing athletes at every level.

 

He gave countless hours to supporting Newham & Essex Beagles Athletic Club, generously dedicating his time, energy, and expertise to the club. Tim was especially devoted to inspiring and mentoring the young athletes he coached, encouraging them not only to improve their performance but also to grow in confidence and character.

 

His contributions to athletics and to all who knew him will be remembered with great respect and gratitude, and he will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace Tim! You have lived a life to be celebrated by us all at the club as you nurtured so many generations and were loved by us all. We as a club pray for your soul and thank you so much for all the things you've done and all the smiles you gave us. God bless!
